Day Arrival
- Arrival to Budapest. Guided transfer to the hotel, panoramic tour of the city Danube Cruise with welcome dinner on board
- Overnight in Budapest
Day 2: - City tour in Budapest
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Guided sightseeing tour in Budapest, visiting the most significant sights of the hungarian capital, the Heroes' Square with the Millennium Monument, Opera, the famous public buildings along the Danube (Parliament, Academy of Sciences, universities, bridges) ,Gellért Hill (Citadel, Liberty Monument) In the Castle District visit the Mátyás Church and the Fishermen's Bastion.
- End of the tour is in the Market Hall, traditional lunch in the Fakanál Étterem
- In the afternoon travel to Szentendre, to the small town sited on the bank of the Danube with winding streets, church towers, narrow alleyways, dozens of museums, restaurants, handicrafts stalls. Guided walk. Dinner in a small tipical restaurant
- Overnight in Budapest
Day 3: Tisza Lake, Hortobágy
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Departure to explore the treasures of the East.
- Your tour leads toward the second largest lake of Hungary, to the Tisza Lake, where during a
- boat trip you can admire the vast population of birds and game.
- Lunch in a local restaurant.
- Proceeding to the real Hungarian Puszta. During a ride with the horse-drawn carriages you can see typical animals of the Puszta like Racka sheep, "Mangalian" pigs, Grey cattle etc. Visit in the Shepherds' Museum, horse show, possibility for riding. Welcome with Hungarian brandy and snack, afterwards a typical dinner with gipsy music in the oldest Csárda in Hortobágy.
- Arrival to Debrecen, to the major town of the Great Plain and the centre of Protestant Hungary ( the Calvinist Rome.
- Overnight in a local hotel
Day 4 - Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló
- Breakfast in the hotel
- Morning guided tour in Debrecen including the visit to the Calvinist Great Church, Town Hall, Reformed College, Déri Museum, Kossuth Lajos University and the Great Forest.
- Lunch in the hotel.
- In the afternoon travel to Hajdúszoboszló Spa, that is called the Mecca for rheumatism. For 70 years patients have been treated here with the 75 C thermal water, forcing its way up from the depth of 1100 metres.
- Dinner in a local tipical Csárda
- Overnight in Debrecen
Day 5 – Békéscsaba, Gyula
- Breakfast in the hotel. Travel to the south, near to the romanian border. Short visit in the anciant lowland town of Békéscsaba, famous for its yearly organised sausage festival and
- architectural monuments.
- Lunch in the Kisködmön Csárda in Gyula, where all the dishes are cooked on basis of old hungarian receipts.
- In the afternoon sightseeing walk to explore this charming small spa town of Hungary,
- the birthplace of the famous hungarian composer, Erkel Ferenc ( Memorial House, Greek Orthodox Church , 100 yrs old confectionary , Town Hall etc. )
- The town is famous for its cultural and musical festivals. Optional visit of a performance
- ( depending on the program schedule )
- Dinner and overnight in a local Spa Hotel
Day 6 – Szeged
- Breakfast in the hotel
- Morning bathing program ( Possibility for massage or other treatments ) in the local spa
- Lunch on your own
- In the afternoon travel further to visit Szeged, the town of Sunshine,situated on the banks of the Tisza River and world famous for the Pick Salami. The sightseeing walk includes all the major sights e.g. Széchenyi Square, Town Hall, Dóm Square with the Votive Church,
- Dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
Day 7 - Kecskemét
- After breakfast travel to Kecskemét, to the „Famous Town”. Kecskemét Apricot Brandy,
- Art Nouveau Buildings decorated with coulourful ceramics, and the Kodály method of teaching music have spread its fame far and wide
- Sightseeing walk, visit the Town Hall, the Kodály Zoltán Institute , Calvinist Church, Ornamental Palace etc . Farewell lunch with folklore entertainment in a local csárda.
