Day 1 Arrival
Arrival to Budapest. Guided transfer to the hotel, panoramic tour of the city
- Danube Cruise with welcome dinner on board
- Overnight in Budapest
Day 2 Budapest
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Guided sightseeing tour in Budapest, visiting the most significant sights of the hungarian capital, the Heroes' Square with the Millennium Monument, Opera, the famous public buildings along the Danube (Parliament, Academy of Sciences, universities, bridges) ,Gellért Hill (Citadel, Liberty Monument) In the Castle District visit the Mátyás Church and the Fishermen's Bastion.
- End of the tour is in the Market Hall, traditional lunch in the Fakanál Étterem
- In the afternoon travel to Szentendre, to the small town sited on the bank of the Danube with winding streets, church towers, narrow alleyways, dozens of museums, restaurants, handicrafts stalls. Guided walk. Dinner in a small tipical restaurant
- Overnight in Budapest
Day 3 Gödöllő, Hollókő
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Departure to explore the treasures of Northern Hungary. First stop is Gödöllő, in the vicinity of Budapest. Guided tour in the Royal Palace, that is one of the biggest baroque palaces in Hungary and used to be the favourite palace of Queen Elisabeth ( Sissy )
- Proceeding to Hollókő, to the living village museum of the friendly palóc people, that is part of the World Heritage for preserving unique values of its folk art and applied art.
- Women of Hollókő dressed in their regional costumes welcome guests with brandy (pálinka) and cottage cheese cake or scones (pogácsa) in the barn-yard of the Old village followed by a spinning presentation where they revive the old atmosphere of the spinning house. While demonstrating spinning they sing and show games and popping corn on open fire. They perform their regional dance later involving guests too. A visit to the Old-village, museums and pottery shops. Lunch in the local restaurant
- In the late afternoon arrival to the episcopal seat and attractive baroque city of EGER
- Its glorious historical past and great monuments attract many guests. Eger is also a spa town and the center of a famous wine growing region.
- Dinner in the Fehérszarvas Vadásztanya, famous for its fish and game dishes.
- Overnight in Eger
Day 4 Eger
- Breakfast in the hotel
- Morning walking tour in Eger, including the visit to the Basilica, the Castle, Minaret, Lyceum, Minorita Church, Archepiscopal Palace.
- Lunch on your own.
- In the afternoon free time for shopping or take a bath in the modern spa of the town or in the Turkish Spa.
- Wine tasting and dinner in the winecellar in the Valley of the Beautiful Woman
- Overnight in Eger
Day 5 – Lillafüred, Miskolctapolca
- Breakfast in the hotel
- Excursion to the Bükk National Park, to the Szalajka Valley, where the waters of the Szalajka stream are turned to a misty veil as they pour across the 70 metre Fátyol stepped Cascade. Visit the Lippizaner Horsebreeding exhibition
- Travel by narrow-gauge railway from the mountain village of Szilvásvárad to the forest. Trout grilling on open fire. At the end of the party walking in the open-air forestry museum.
- Proceeding to Miskolc via the beautiful resort of Lillafüred ( short visit )
- City sightseeing tour in Miskolc ( orthodox church, Diósgyőr Castle )
- Dinner and overnight in Miskolctapolca, famous for its Thermal and Cave Bath, unique of their kind in Europe.
Day 6 – Departure
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Transfer to the airport, farewell to Hungary
